We are excited to announce that our recently formed portfolio company, BuildTec Software Group, a European platform for innovative construction software solutions established by funds advised by Bregal Unternehmerkapital ("BU") in November 2023, has acquired a majority stake in Acies A/S, a Danish software provider. This partnership will expand the group's geographical presence in Denmark and its software portfolio in the construction industry.
Based in Silkeborg, Denmark, Acies’ customer base consists of window, door, and kitchen manufacturers. For over 45 years, the company has provided configuration software, manufacturing execution systems ("MES"), and production planning software to handle the most intricate and industry-specific functional demands encountered within the field.
The BuildTec Software Group began its expansion into Scandinavia at the end of last year by acquiring E-KOMPLET A/S, a Danish software provider of craftsmen-specific project management software tools supporting businesses in the trade verticals. In addition to Acies A/S and E-KOMPLET A/S, the BuildTec Software Group has several other renowned brands under its umbrella, serving more than 20,000 customers in total. These include Glaser Programmsysteme GmbH, SEMA, and its two partner companies, WGsystem and Compass, as well as Hausmann & Wynen, including the brands Powerbird and Sitara.
The integration of Acies is a further milestone for the BuildTec Group, which is on its way to becoming one of the leading European platforms for innovative software solutions in the construction technology and trades sector. BU will accompany BuildTec on this path as a growth partner.
