Funds advised by Bregal Unternehmerkapital have acquired a majority stake in ATP adhesive systems AG. The transaction, which is already completed, provides a long-term succession solution for ATP, which specialises in developing and manufacturing water-based specialty industrial adhesive tapes. Together with the existing management team, Bregal intends to continue the company’s growth and internationalization strategy.
ATP, headquartered in Wollerau, Switzerland, with production sites in Mihla, Germany, employs approximately 270 staff and has own R&D capabilities to develop single- and double-sided industrial adhesive tapes, tailored individually to specific customer requirements. The products are manufactured on state-of-the-art coating machines, and are put to use by its customers in a broad range of industrial and graphics applications. Furthermore, being water-based, the high-quality adhesive tapes are also considerably more environmentally friendly than other solutions. Since its founding in 1988, the company has developed an excellent market position often supplying its customers for more than 10 years.
