BuildTec Software Group and GLASER Programmsysteme GmbH form partnership

At the end of 2023, BuildTec Software Group (“BuildTec” or “BuildTec Group”) was established as a growing European platform for innovative software solutions in the construction and trade sector. Just three months after its formation, the group has made its first acquisition, with the support of the funds advised by Bregal Unternehmerkapital ("BU") and is now starting the new year with another fast-growing partnership. GLASER Programmsysteme GmbH ("GLASER"), a German specialist for innovative construction software solutions, has joined the group with immediate effect. The partnership will help significantly expand BuildTec’s product range and international customer base, strengthening the group's position in the European construction software market.

GLASER, founded in 1978, is a leading software company in Germany that specializes in developing and selling software and hardware solutions for construction planning. Headquartered in Hanover, and founder-led, GLASER focuses on the sale of 2D and 3D CAD solutions for structural engineering. With its core product ISBCAD, the 3D modeler Tekla Structures, the mixed reality construction helmet Trible XR10, and the custom development of efficient software, GLASER has more than 4,000 international customers in the building, architecture, engineering, and construction industries. GLASER’s market position makes them an ideal addition to the product portfolio of the BuildTec Group supported by BU.

E-KOMPLET A/S, a Danish software provider for project management in the trades, also joined BuildTec as an international software player at the end of 2023. This was an important step in expanding the newly formed group's presence in the fast-growing Scandinavian market. In addition to GLASER and E-KOMPLET A/S, the BuildTec Group includes other established players in the construction technology sector, SEMA and its two partner companies, WGsystem and Compass, and Hausmann & Wynen, which joined the group in October 2023. The group's primary objective is to exploit synergies in a targeted manner to respond efficiently to the growing challenges of customers in the future and to provide them with optimum support in their transformation processes. With the consolidation, BuildTec is also taking an important step towards driving the digital transformation in the construction and trades sector, strengthening the group's product portfolio, and opening to new market segments.

The integration of GLASER is a further milestone for BuildTec, which is on its way to becoming one of the leading European platforms for innovative software solutions in the construction technology and trades sector. BU will accompany BuildTec on this path as a growth partner.
